Adapting to the Changing Needs of Our Customers

As our customer base continues to evolve, so does the nature of the audit and verification work we provide. This means that at Hill Labs, we're seeing a growing demand for more complex verification services.   

A key area of growth has been within our food audit business, where our team is taking on more technical and operationally demanding verification work. This includes supporting a wide range of food businesses, from small operators through to large organisations with multiple food production and retail divisions.  

Our recent partnership with Foodstuffs South Island is one example of this shift. We support FSSI's commitment to maintaining high food safety standards for their customers through audits of complex supermarket environments spanning deli, bakery, butchery and produce departments. Alongside compliance requirements, there is also a focus on delivering a streamlined audit experience and providing useful insights that help identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and help ensure food safety outcomes across stores. 

To support this growing demand and provide confidence to our clients, we continue to invest in developing our audit capability. We have a large team of Food Act auditors across the country, with significant expertise in Custom Food Control Plans. This breadth of experience allows us to support food businesses with a diverse range of compliance needs.  

For our team, this growth is creating opportunities to build new skills, take on more technically challenging work, and contribute to an increasingly broad range of customers.
