NZIFST – Looking to the Future!
Hill Labs was pleased to attend the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology (NZIFST) Conference again this year - an event that brings together a diverse group, including students, scientists, food technologists and new product developers from across the food sector.
The conference celebrates the achievements being made in New Zealand’s food science field while providing opportunities to discuss where the industry is heading so we can ensure science programmes continue to align with industry needs. This year’s theme of ‘Growth’, sparked valuable conversations around how we foster sustainable growth for New Zealand Primary Industries in the new world of AI.
Alongside exploring the latest trends and innovations, discussions also centred around the importance of developing the next generation of food science professionals. We enjoyed connecting with students as they consider their career paths after university and sharing our knowledge and insights into what life at the lab looks like. We have a few lab tours lined up in the coming months so the students can get a firsthand look at what we do!
Events like NZIFST provide significant value to the food science industry by nurturing a community of forward-thinking professionals dedicated to shaping the future of food technology - and that’s something that we are excited to be a part of.
