Making Ordering Easier - Enhancements to mylab

We’re pleased to share a recent enhancement in mylab, designed to make test selection simpler and more intuitive.  

Selecting the right test is critical, and we know that tests that share the same or similar names can sometimes make this harder than it needs to be. To help solve this, we’ve reviewed and adjusted how we name selected tests in mylab.  

These clearer, more descriptive names appear during the mylab ordering journey, helping you quickly distinguish between tests that may have shared similar names in the past but are linked to different test codes. This means greater confidence and clarity when placing orders.  

What’s improved?  

• Clearer test selection: Tests with similar names now display a unique name in mylab.  

• Better decision-making: Especially helpful for commonly ordered Food Microbiology tests where the method or reporting units differ. 

What tests are included?  

We’ve rolled this out across roughly 390 test codes, selected based on analysis of the most commonly requested tests, where duplicate names existed. These updates currently apply to:  

• Food Microbiology  

• Food Chemistry  

• Selected Honey tests  

These changes are only applicable in the mylab platform. This update does not add new tests to mylab or change the way tests names display on your quotes, reports or invoices.
