Every day Hill Labs receives hundreds of samples from customers around the country, typically in a plastic container such as a bottle or a bag. Recycling these containers can be challenging due to the presence of labels and leftover sample materials, such as soil particles or small amounts of water.
We partnered with Future Post because they have developed a product and a process that is tolerant of these impurities.
Hill Labs supplies Future Post with items made up of sampling bottles and bags and consumable lab items such as vials and tubes. Our staff bring in their soft packaging from home and a significant amount of other flexible packaging is recycled from around the business. Future Post use these items to transform them into durable fence posts with an expected life exceeding 50 years. These are sold back to many of our agricultural customers.
We are proud to be diverting this waste from landfills and we know this partnership is an important alignment for our company, valued by both our staff and our clients.
