Our Exciting, New Christchurch Laboratory
We are very excited to announce that our lab operations in Christchurch are moving to a larger, purpose-built facility. This decision comes from our continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers and to maintaining the highest standards of service in the industry.
Hill Labs first established a presence in Christchurch in February 2005, at 49 Ferry Road. Initially, we offered food and water microbiology testing, later adding chemistry testing. This addition lead us to soon outgrow this facility, prompting our move to our current Waterloo Road site in 2007. In 2014, we launched our asbestos testing service in Christchurch. This expansion in our service offering, paired with our growing customer base has resulted in us outgrowing our current facility.
Our new lab, to be located at Print Place in Middleton, will offer a safe and spacious working environment for our team. The lab offers an expansive 2,400m2 floorplan with state-of-the-art technology, while the purpose-built design offers a mindful approach to our environmental footprint. This site will provide Hill Labs with the necessary capacity to enable the future growth and expansion that will no doubt result from our continuing commitment to innovation and to being a responsive, supportive and reliable lab partner – leaving us confident that this new site will translate into felt value for our customers.
We are excited to embark on this next chapter, with the move is scheduled to take place in October, and we are anticipating a smooth transition with the team focussed on minimising disruptions as much as possible, ensuring uninterrupted service.
