Meth Testing in Dwellings

Hills Labs offers accredited laboratory testing to detect traces of methamphetamine and related precursor drugs in residential and commercial dwellings across New Zealand.

How does Hills Labs test for surface meth contamination?

We test wipe samples using the NIOSH 9111 method, a recognised international standard for surface contamination analysis. Our testing is IANZ accredited, ensuring high-quality, reliable results. All samples are analysed using LCMSMS (Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry Detection) which is a highly sensitive and precise method that enables accurate detection of trace drug residues on surfaces.

What substances are tested in a Methamphetamine Contamination Analysis?

Our methamphetamine contamination testing includes analysis for three common precursor drugs:

  • Ephedrine
  • Pseudoephedrine
  • Amphetamine

Important Note About Sampling and Reporting

Hills Labs does not offer methamphetamine sampling services and cannot interpret results. We strongly recommend engaging a qualified methamphetamine contamination consultant to manage the process. Consultants handle:

  • Sample collection
  • Interpretation of results
  • Reporting with legal standing
